Where to park? There is no onsite parking!

There is no parking on site at Vanilla Zulu! Please arrive about 10-15 minutes early to find a street park in the roads surrounding us! Sometimes there are parking spots right outside our door, but please allow additional time just in case! Please observe all signage.

Vanilla Zulu office hours?

It’s a busy kitchen! We are often in a class and won’t always be able to take your call so please email us info@vanillazulu.com.au and we will check our emails and messages daily! Please allow 24hrs for a response. We do not have anyone in the office over weekends and public holidays. We will honour all emails via date received.

How do I reschedule / change a Class booking?

Changes / rescheduling – Yes, changing your booking is available up to 3 x business days (72 hours) before your class. Our cut off date for weekend changes is Wednesdays, 5pm. Simply email us at info@vanillazulu.com.au to request this. Late Notice Rebooking Offer – For changes requested within 24-72 hours before your cooking class, when last minute things happen, we provide an Offer to Rebook you in for $39 per person. Or, you can send someone else in place! Please look at our website, find an alternate date and let us know. Less than 24hrs and on the day cancellations or changes are not accepted, please just send someone in your place. As a small business we appreciate your understanding. We do not offer a second rebooking, please just send someone in your place. Vanilla Zulu is usually booked out for several weeks in advance, late changes have an impact and we can’t always find replacement participants at short notice. Staff rosters and food are prepared in advance of each class. These rules are designed to protect our business, but also to ensure if something does come up, you and your friends don’t miss out on a great experience.

How do I reschedule / change a Course booking?

Changes / rescheduling – for our Complete Cookings Skills Course and Complete Patisserie Course you can change the entire Course Dates with a strict minimum of one week’s notice provided by email to info@vanillazulu.com.au. Make Ups Dates – we offer one Make Up class per Course for $39. Prior notice must be given by 9am on the Monday of the class date by email. Once a Make Up class is scheduled, this cannot be rebooked. Vanilla Zulu is usually booked out for several weeks in advance, late changes have an impact and we can’t always find replacement participants at short notice. Staff rosters and food are prepared in advance of each class. These rules are designed to protect our business, but also to ensure if something does come up, you and your friends don’t miss out on a great experience.

Does Vanilla Zulu sell Gift Vouchers?

Yes! Simply click on the Vouchers tab in the main menu. Select the voucher of your dreams, register and pay. On the certificate you can add the recipient’s details OR add your own email to have it sent to you (and keep it a surprise). Thanks in advance for your support. Your guest can then use the Voucher to book into any of our cooking classes on a date and time that suits them. Our Vouchers NEVER EXPIRE!

How to use a Gift Voucher

Select you class, register and book and when you come to the payment section choose to pay by Gift Certificate using the voucher code located under bar code on the certificate. Once the system has verified your voucher it will process the booking and send you a confirmation email!

Can I bring a child?

Yes, with an accompanying adult. Children from 9yrs are welcome with an adult. To redeem the Youth Price, you must book in a paying Adult. For older teens (15yrs+) who are confident cooks can attend on their own and are required to pay the full adult price.

How do I book in a Support Worker, Interpreter, Aid or Spectator?

All attendees must book in, including Support Workers, Interpreters and Aids. If you need to bring someone, please contact us directly to discuss pricing options. The enjoyment and safety of all our attending guests is very important to us. Due to the set up of our kitchens we do not accept Spectators.

Does Vanilla Zulu have a bar open during class?

Vanilla Zulu has a fully licensed Bar with Gin Cocktails, as well as a lovely selection of beers, wines, ciders and soft drinks. The Bar is open 30 minutes before class starts! So come on in and settle in with a gorgeous refreshment!

Where are my recipes?

Your recipes will be available for download when you Complete Guest Forms during the booking process. The person how has made the booking will have the link to the guest forms. You will also receive an email 24hrs after your class with a link again to your recipes.

During the class you will also have access to a QR Code to download your recipes.

If you have misplaced the link please email us at info@vanillazulu.com.au and we can send them to you.

What to wear?

Please wear comfortable clothes and sensible, closed foot wear. Please do not wear high heels or stiletto’s as they are not very practical on our kitchen floors. We do have stools for each guest so you will be able to sit down anytime, but comfort is key!

What time should I arrive?

Please arrive 15 -20 minutes BEFORE your class start time so that you can find a park, settle in, purchase a drink from the bar, hand wash and meet our wonderful friendly staff!
